Olga Madrid Learning Center: Where Purpose Meets Possibility

At the YWCA Olga Madrid Learning Center, we are more than childcare—we are a launchpad for lifelong success.

As a Texas Rising Star 4-Star Accredited program, we provide year-round, high-quality early education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, grounded in equity, inclusion, and excellence.

Our classrooms are vibrant, intentional spaces that nurture curiosity, confidence, and compassion. Through a whole-child, research-based curriculum, we support:

  • School readiness across academic and social-emotional domains

  • Ongoing developmental assessments that guide individualized learning

  • Parent-teacher conferences and strong family partnerships

  • A belief that you are your child’s first and most important teacher

  • A data-driven program that grows with every child and family

We provide daily nutritious meals at no cost and ensure access through CCS subsidies, United Way scholarships, and military/corporate discounts—because high-quality care should be available to all.

Rooted in the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women, Olga Madrid is a place of belonging, learning, and powerful beginnings.

Choose Olga Madrid—where children lead, families thrive, and futures take flight.

Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00-5:30.

The YWCA San Antonio offers preschool and afterschool childcare services for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Children are exposed to age-appropriate, educational activities that improve cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being. Our goal is to provide children with activities and experiences that promote optimal growth and development.
