Our Women’s Health Services Program provides vital resources to help underserved women in and around San Antonio find breast cancer early.
Two types of Mammograms are provided:
Screening:
To be eligible for this program, women must be 40 years of age or older, have not had a mammogram in the last year, and have no health insurance or high deductible coverage.
Diagnostic Mammography:
Age is left to medical criteria, it is aimed at all women with symptoms of breast cancer, and a medical order is required.
Mammography is currently the most effective screening test for detecting breast cancer, but its benefits differ for women in different age groups. Explore mammography guidelines for the following age ranges:

Additionally, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle to help reduce the risk of developing it. Remember, that although it is common, breast cancer can affect men.
