2024 Women of Influence Honoree
Elise Ring Boyan, JD is a volunteer non-profit organization leader, focusing her efforts in the areas of health care, education and the arts, and paying particular attention to issues of diversity, equity, inclusivity and belonging. Born in New York, Elise grew up and attended public school in Storrs, Connecticut, home to her beloved UConn Huskies. After graduating from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Elise clerked for the Honorable Ernest C. Torres, in the Federal District of Rhode Island, and, then, worked for six years in the litigation department of the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Before retiring from the practice of law and moving to San Antonio, Elise worked as Litigation Counsel for Sony Music Entertainment Inc. Since moving to Texas, Elise has served on the boards of multiple non-profit organizations, including Planned Parenthood South Texas, the Southwest School of Art, and the Harvard Club of San Antonio. Presently, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Saint Mary’s Hall, as Co-Chair of the National Nominating Committee of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Elise has been married to Craig Boyan for over three decades. Elise and Craig have four children: Hailey, Grace, John, and Jamie, John’s wife.
